Category: Joseph and Jesus – A Comparison

Both Are Saviours

WEEK 52:

Genesis 47:25 And they said, thou hast saved our lives, let us find grace in the sight of my lord, and we will be Pharaoh’s servants.

Acts 13:23 Of this man’s seed hath God according to His promise raised unto Israel a Saviour, Jesus.

The A-B-C To Salvatiion In Christ Jesus

Dear Reader – IF you have not accepted Christ Jesus as Lord and Saviour of your life – it is our belief that time is running out. To receive and accept Jesus as Lord is as simple as A. B. C.

A – ACCEPT that you are a sinner, and you need the blood of Jesus to cleanse you of your sins.

Romans 3:23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

B – BELIEVE  in you heart that Jesus is the Son of God and He came and died on the cross to take away the sins of Mankind.

John 3:15-18 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

C – CONFESS – Confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Romans 10:9-11 9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

Heavenly Father – I come to you as a sinner in need of the blood of Jesus who shed His blood on the cross of Calvary to forgive me and take away my sins. I ask that You forgive me and wash me and cleanse me with the blood of Jesus of all my sins Lord. I believe in my heart that Jesus is the Son of God. I accept Him today as the Lord and Saviour of my life. I ask Lord that you send your Holy Spirit to come and live within me and help guide my footsteps as I walk in the newness of the new life in Christ Jesus. I thank you Father for writing my name down in the Lamb’s Book of life. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN.

Brothers and Sisters – if you prayed the above pray for the first time – you are NOW born again. WELCOME TO THE FAMILY OF GOD.

I would encourage you to tell others of your new found faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Find a church that preaches and teaches the undiluted Word of God without fear of man, and start to grow in the Lord.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL. In Jesus name. Amen.

Both Are to Bring All Under Rule of the King

WEEK 51:

Genesis 47:19-20 19 Wherefore shall we die before thine eyes, both we and our land? Buy us and our land for bread, and we and our land will be servants unto Pharaoh: and give us seed, that we may live, and not die, that the land be not desolate. 20 And Joseph bought all the land of Egypt for Pharaoh: for the Egyptians sold every man his field, because the famine prevailed over them: so the land became Pharaoh’s.

Ephesians 1:10-12 10 That the dispensation of the fullness of times, He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth, even in Him. 11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will. 12 That we should be to the praise of His glory, who first trusted in Christ.

Joseph’s Brothers Shared Pharaoh’s Blessings Because of Joseph. We Share Because of Jesus.

WEEK 50:

Joseph’s brothers shared Pharaoh’s favour because of Joseph, not themselves. We share God’s favour because of Jesus, not because we are worthy.

Genesis 45:16-20 16 And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh’s house, saying Joseph’s brethren are come, and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants. 17 And pharaoh said unto Joseph, say unto thy brethren, this do ye, lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan. 18 And take your father and your households, and come unto me, and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land. 19 Now thou art commanded this do ye, take your wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. 20 Also regard not your stuff, for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours.

Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

All is Forgiven

WEEK 49:

Genesis 50:20-21 20 But as for you, ye thought evil against me, but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass as it is this day, to save much people alive. 21 Now therefore fear ye not, I will nourish you, and your little ones. And he comforted them, and spake kindly unto them.

Luke 23:34 Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment and cast lots.

God Turned the Evil Report Meant for Joseph and Jesus Around for Good.

WEEK 48:

Genesis 45:5-8 5 Now therefore, be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. 6 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. 7 And God sent me before you to preserve you posterity in the earth; and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God, and he hath made me a farther to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt.

Acts 3:12-18 12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? Or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk? 13 The God of Abraham: and of Isaac, and of Jacob, the God of our fathers, hath glorified His Son Jesus whom ye delivered up, and denied Him in the presence of Pilate, when he was determined to let Him go. 14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you. 15 And killed the Prince of life: whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses. 16 And His name through faith in His name hath made this man strong, whom ye see and know: yea, the faith which is by Him hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all. 17 And now, brethren, I wot that through ignorance ye did it, as did also your rulers. 18 But those things, which God before had shewed by the mouth of all His prophets, that Christ should suffer, He hath fulfilled.

Joseph Was Finally Revealed to His Brothers. Jesus Will Be Revealed to Israel.

WEEK 47:

Genesis 45:3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph: doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him: for they were troubled at his presence.

Matthew 24:30 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven, and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.

Joseph’s Brother Simeon is Detained. Jacob’s Trouble Follows the Rapture of the Church.

WEEK 46:

Trouble has beset Joseph’s brothers as Simeon is detained. Jacob’s Trouble will follow the “rapture” of the Church – Israel’s troubles.

Genesis 42:21-22 21 And they said one to another, we are verily guilty concerning our brother, in that we saw the anguish of his soul, when he besought us, and we would not hear: therefore is this distress come upon us. 22 And Reuben answered them saying, spake I not unto you saying, do not sin against the child: and ye would not hear? Therefore, behold, also his blood is required.

Genesis 42:36 And Jacob their father said unto them, me have ye bereaved of my children: Joseph is not, and Simeon is not, and ye will take Benjamin away: all these things are against me.

Jeremiah 30:7 Alas!, for that day is great, so that none is like it, it is even the time of Jacob’s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

Josephs’ Brothers Did Not Recognise Him. Jesus’ Own Didn’t Know Him Either

WEEK 45:

Genesis 42:8  And Joseph knew his brethren, but they knew him not.

John 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.

Joseph Became a Saviour to All People in the World. So Did Jesus.

WEEK 44:

Genesis 41:54  And the seven years of dearth began to come, according as Joseph had said: and the dearth was in all lands: but in all the land of Egypt there was bread.

Genesis 41:57 And all countries came unto Egypt to Joseph for to buy corn, because the famine was so sore in all lands.

John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His Only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
